Nawat Itsaragrisil files complaint vs Miss Universe Fatima Bosch

And the chaos in the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) continues.

Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of the host committee of the 74th Miss Universe in Thailand, has taken legal action against the pageant’s reigning queen Fatima Bosch over her “false” claims.

Miss Universe Thailand made the announcement in a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, December 3.

It said Itsaragrisil filed a criminal complaint against Bosch in Thailand last November 12 as he sought to clarify his side of their heated exchange during an orientation with this year’s delegates.

The Thai pageant executive apologized for the incident after being called out publicly by MUO president Raul Rocha.

“We wish to reaffirm that Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil never called Ms. Fatima Bosch a ‘dumbhead.’ What he said was ‘damage,’ which is clearly audible in the voice recordings that have already been widely circulated across various platforms,” read the statement, which was released by Itsaragrisil’s Miss Grand International (MGI) organization.

“The said sentence ‘If you follow the order from your national director you’re damage, if you not you can do it. I very happy and the good report will go to organize.'”

In the statement, MGI said Bosch “continued to falsely accuse” Itsaragrisil in multiple interviews, “seemingly for personal gain and to justify herself throughout the competition.”

The organization also warned other individuals and publications, telling them to “refrain from cooperating with or amplifying” the beauty queen’s allegations.

Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch of Mexico. Lillian Suwanrumpha, AFP/File Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch has finally set the record straight amid allegations that her victory was rigged, saying these were a result of a “campaign of hate.”

In an exclusive interview with ABC7, the Mexican beauty queen defended her crown, saying she did not win because of her father’s supposed business ties with Miss Universe Organization president Raul Rocha.

Bosch was responding to claims made by French-Lebanese musician Omar Harfouch, who claimed to have stepped down as a member of the Miss Universe jury just days before the grand finals.

“They make this campaign of hate,” she said. “My father has nothing to do with the organization.”

She added: “It’s crazy, how are you going to buy a crown? Maybe in Walmart you can buy a crown, yeah. But not in Miss Universe, for sure.”

Bosch, who was crowned in Thailand last November 21, earlier declared on social media that she will “not back down” despite all the hate she has received.

Even before the coronation night, she was the subject of controversy because of her heated exchange with Thai pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil, who has already apologized for his outburst.

When asked if she thinks that the Miss Universe crown is her “reward” for speaking out, Bosch replied: “Of course not. I make the same effort that all the pageant [contestants] make.”

She went on to deny rumors that she is considering giving up her title.

“I will never step away from this crown,” she stressed. “I’m not here for fame or modeling or searching for a husband. I’m here because God put a purpose in my heart.”

“I have a mission and I will do that all year,” added the beauty queen, who referred to her Miss Universe crowning moment as a “dream come true.”

Pia Wurtzbach continues to mark milestones in her rising career as a style influencer.

The former Miss Universe attended the 2025 British Fashion Awards as a guest of Bulgari (where she is a Friend of the House), her first time to walk the London red carpet.

She was a vision in blue — her signature color — as she graced the event in a couture creation by Hong Kong-born, London-based fashion designer Robert Wun.

“A night of firsts. My first London red carpet + my first time at the Royal Albert Hall = a night I’ll never forget,” Wurtzbach wrote in an Instagram post.

She has been slowly making her way to the top, winning accolades from magazines both in the Philippines and abroad.

But beyond her Fashion Week stints, Wurtzbach makes sure to continue using her platform for good, promoting causes ranging from HIV awareness to mental health.
