The Nissan Urvan has been around in the Philippines for approximately seven years now and has remained a popular choice among transport groups in the country. It also is a great vehicle for those looking for a family van that brings with it the right balance of comfort and versatility. It even comes with a cargo variant which is great for those looking for their next business vehicle. With its tenure in the local automotive market, it was high time that it got a refresh or an update, and this is what Nissan Philippines did for its 2023 model year.
So what comes with the new refresh? Nissan Philippines has given the standard and premium trims of the van a new front facia. These updates come in the form of a new front grille with redesigned front bumpers.
The standard variants of the Nissan Urvan come with black and silver trims for the new grille, while the Premium model comes with chrome instead of silver. The grille for all variants of the van also comes with the brand’s new corporate logo which puts it on par with the rest of Nissan’s local lineup. Aside from this, the foglight bezels on the new bumper have been slimmed down to make room for new openings on the side intakes. While these exterior changes are small, they do help refresh the model and give it a modern look.
The updates don’t just stop with the exterior of the Nissan Urvan, as the van gets a new D-shaped steering wheel that is found on the rest of the brand’s lineup of vehicles such as the Nissan Navara, Nissan Terra, and the new Nissan Kicks.
As for its powerplant, this remains unchanged as it still carries the same 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 127 hp and 356 Nm of torque. Its transmission options are also still the same with a 5-speed manual and a five-speed automatic transmission available for the Premium variant.
