Nissan Philippines has given its electric hatchback in the country a new update with a new set of wheels and a few enhancements to the vehicle here and there. The new model has been debuted at the 2022 Philippine Electric Vehicle summit and took center stage at the brand’s booth at the event. It came sporting two new wheel designs that the Japanese automaker has released for the model.
Aside from the new set of wheels, the Nissan LEAF also wears the brand’s new logo which is already seen in its dealerships nationwide. The electric hatchback also comes with an improved intelligent rearview mirror that Nissan says promises better visibility.
As for its mechanical elements and its power unit, the 2023 Nissan LEAF remains unchanged as it still packs an AC synchronous electric motor that produces 148 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It retains its 40-kWh battery that delivers a range of about 311 kilometers. The electric hatchback also retains its e-pedal technology which lets you drive the vehicle with one pedal. Those buying the electric vehicle will also still get an AC wall-box charger that can bring the vehicle to a full charge in about 7.5 hours. The LEAF can also be charged from low to 80 percent in just 40 minutes at selected Nissan dealerships.
With every facelift of a vehicle typically comes an increase in pricing, however, this is not the case for the 2023 Nissan LEAF as the Japanese automaker has opted to keep the pricing at P2,798,000 which is still great for those who want to get an electric vehicle from the brand.
