The Hyundai Stargazer was globally revealed earlier this year in July. A few months later with the brand’s relaunch under new management and refreshed vehicle lineup, it was revealed that Stargazer would also be launching soon. While no dates were given at the time, it appears Hyundai Philippines is almost ready to launch it with its recent teaser video for the MPV on its official Facebook page.
Based on the teaser video and the specifications available in other countries, it appears that the Stargazer will have a similar futuristic design to its bigger brother the Hyundai Staria. The MPV takes on a sleek one-box shape along with a one-curve design to make it optimized for cabin height. It also comes with a full-width horizontal daytime running light. At the back, the vehicle sports a distinctive H design for its LED taillights.
On the inside, the Stargazer comes with a multifunctional storage space which gives its passengers plenty of room to store loose items. These include small trays, cup holders, extra pockets, and much more sprinkled throughout the cabin.
Hyundai Philippines has yet to confirm anything just yet with its official specification, however, we suspect that it will come with industry-standard features such as Apple Carplay and Android Auto along segment leading items such as cruise control which is available in other markets
Under the hood, we can expect to find a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces around 113hp and 144 Nm of torque. With these figures alone it makes it one of the more powerful naturally aspirated MPVs in its segment. Sending power to the front wheels could either be a CVT or a 6-speed manual transmission.

As for its safety features we suspect that it will come with Hyundai’s Smartsense technology which offers Forward Collision Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blindspot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist.
For now, it’s a waiting game to see what the Hyundai Stargazer will look like, and its specifications once it officially launches in the Philippines.
