H0910009 Artistang bisaya pinagtawanan dahil sa pananalita part2

America’s muscle cars are an endangered species, but Ford is sticking to its guns and keeping the V8 in the Mustang lineup for its next-generation model. Good news for us enthusiasts, but let’s not forget the unsung hero, the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The all-electric “Mustang” made the “real” Mustang possible according to Jim Farley, Ford’s CEO, during an interview with CNBC at the Detroit Motor Show last week. Farley was quoted saying: “the Mustang Mach-E, in a way, created, allowed this car to happen. Competitors are buying credits for emissions, and they can’t come out with this kind of vehicle.”

The explanation for Farley’s statement runs deeper than just moving forward from internal combustion engines. The “credits” his statement speaks of a limit, wherein companies’ emissions are regulated and limited by the government. As such, the feasibility of an earth-polluting, fire-breathing muscle car becomes a little muddy as is the case with Dodge and Chevrolet. The two other American brands announced a “last call” of sorts for their gasoline-powered muscle cars, and they will be making way for the next generation of electric vehicles for the segment.

The new 2024 Ford Mustang is a V8 or turbocharged four-cylinder-powered muscle car with more tech and features than the model it replaces. It’s safe to say that the new model will come with a similar but tweaked powertrain to its predecessor. The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine is said to be in its 4th generation, and it will be the new most powerful naturally-aspirated Mustang GT. As for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, not much was said about it, but it’ll definitely be the entry point for the Mustang lineup.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

It’s still gripping to see Ford staying true to the Mustang’s formula. While other brands need to move on, it seems like the Blue Oval has a bit of wiggle room for the time being. The Mustang is definitely a well-loved nameplate in the motoring industry, and it’ll be sad to see the V8 go by the wayside. We still have the V8, and it could be likely that the model will be the last-ever gasoline-only model to be released by Ford. Ford could take its Mustang into hybrid or electric territory in the future, but, for now, we still get to keep the V8.
