The Next-Gen Ford Ranger and the Next-Gen Ford Everest have both made their respective debuts in the Philippine market. If you are already an owner of either of these two vehicles, then you will rest easy knowing that they are one of the safest you can buy on the market.
Both of these new vehicles have just undergone testing with the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and it has just awarded the all-new Everest and Ranger a perfect 5-star safety rating with the newer more stringent and stricter testing procedures. Both of these two cars passed with flying colors in both crash protection and the intelligent safety systems tests category.
Both the Ranger and the Everest were able to score high marks in the adult occupancy protection (AOP) and child occupancy protection (COP) tests. These included frontal-offset, side impact, and far-side impact tests. Out of a possible 100% rating, the Ranger was able to score 84 in AOP and 93% in COP. Meanwhile, the Everest scored 86% in AOP while COP was rated higher at 93%.

Aside from this, another factor that helped them both get five stars was the extensive list of driver aids available to both vehicles, such as automatic emergency braking (AEB) like front collision warning, lane support systems like lane departure warning and lane-keeping assists (LAS), and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS). ANCAP also paused the AEB system of both vehicles as it was able to detect cyclists in one of their tests.
This goes to show that you can’t go wrong when you buy either a Ford Ranger or Ford Everest as they are one of the safest vehicles you can buy in the Philippine market as they come with some of the features present in their Australian counterparts. It also goes to show that Ford is also thinking forward with its safety features making all of its Next-Generation vehicles safer than ever.
