The MPV segment receives a new entry, and this time it is from Nissan Philippines. The Nissan Livina is officially available in the country, and the model starts at an attractive price tag of just P1,029,000.
Nissan’s Livina starts from the seven-digit mark, making it an attractively-priced model for the market. If customers want the most that Nissan can offer for the nameplate, the price tops out at P1,209,000 for the top-of-the-line VL trim. Otherwise, the lineup is composed of your standard array of letters from Nissan, with the mid-ranger being the VE, lower-mid being the EL, and the base variant being the E.
The Exterior of the Livina is all-too-familiar, and it’s probably known to everyone how Nissan’s MPV is actually a Mitsubishi. If you’re wondering why that is the case, it’s because both Nissan and Mitsubishi are part of the same brand alliance, hence the platform sharing. In a bubble, however, the Livina looks every bit the part of a modern car, with clean cuts and more. Nissan’s interpretation of the platform involves a bit of polish, as its version is smoother overall compared to Mitsubishi’s.

For the front lighting system, you will get a multi-reflector halogen for the main beams but LED daytime running lights. Halogen fog lamps are also included in the package, except for the E variant which only comes with the halogen headlights meaning no DRLs and fog lamps. The rear has a combination of LED and halogen lamps in a very familiar shape, and the overall styling is edgy and round, similar to how the Nissan Almera is styled.
You have a variety of wheel sizes and designs to choose from, the top-spec trim gets 16-inch dual-tone wheels, the mid variants get 15s that are painted silver, and the base trim gets a set of 15-inch steelies. As for the suspension system, it’s another familiar story. Since it is based on the Xpander platform, it has a unibody chassis that is suspended by a pair of MacPherson struts in the front, and a torsion beam in the rear, typical of models in its price point. Brakes are ventilated discs in the front and a drum at the rear.
Powering the new Livina is a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated DOHC engine with 103 hp and 141 Nm of torque mated to either a 4-speed automatic for EL variants and up, or a 5-speed manual transmission for the base E variant.

As for features, the top-spec trim has an intelligent key with a push button engine start and stop, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Phonelink, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, and a standard radio that outputs audio to six speakers. Lower trim levels like the EL will get a 2-DIN head unit, and the 7-inch touchscreen makes a return mid-level VE variant and in the base E variant. Any trim lower than the top-of-the-line will get only four speakers.
As for safety features, the Livina will come with a hill start assist system, a reverse camera for the VE and VL trims, dual airbags as standard, ABS as standard, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) for the VE and VL, traction control for the VE and VL, parking sensors for the VE and VL, ISOFIX tethers for all models, standard immobilizer system for all variants, and an alarm system for the EL trims and up.
As for the price of the model, you can expect a rather affordable price tag for the Livina. As stated before, the price starts at just P1,029,000 for the base E trim level. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line offering maxes out at P1,209,000.
- VL (A/T) – Php 1,209,000
- VE (A/T) – Php 1,149,000
- EL (A/T) – Php 1,109,000
- E (M/T) – Php 1,029,000
According to Nissan Philippines, the model is available now for reservation with the first official sales of the model to be done on September 15, 2022. Customers who want the new Livina are encouraged to list their names as soon as possible. Make an inquiry and get connected to a dealer through AutoDeal today, and get your new Livina as soon as possible.
