H1110003 Nabuking ang Buraot na Babae part2

The new Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid has officially made its debut in the ASEAN market starting with Indonesia first. While the Japanese automaker initially globally unveiled the model back in April of 2022, it has now made its way into the South East Asian area as the brand’s first LMPV (Low MPV). It will be sold alongside the gasoline Suzuki Ertiga which is still a staple in the automaker’s lineup for the region.

In the Indonesian market, it is available in two variants, the first of which is the GX, and the second is the Suzuki Sport or SS model. Both of these variants are powered by a hybrid drivetrain that consists of the K15B – the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that currently powers the non-hybrid Ertiga and an integrated starter generator along with a 6-Ah 12-volt lithium-ion battery. With the new hybrid system in play, the total output of the MPV has increased to 104.7 hp. Its torque figures have also been increased by 8 Nm as it now pushes out a total of 138 Nm of torque.

Suzuki Ertiga hybrid powertrain

While the hybrid Ertiga has a new drivetrain its transmission at least for the Indonesia market remains the same. Instead of getting the newer six-speed automatic transmission, the MPV still retains its four-speed automatic gearbox. However, those who love to shift their gears will be happy to know that the MPV still comes with a five-speed manual transmission as well.

Aside from the new hybrid drivetrain, the MPV also gains a few exterior design upgrades as well. It now gets a new grille, automatic folding side-view mirrors, a new backdoor garnish, and a new design for its 15-inch wheels. It also gets a new color option with Mellow Deep Red.

While the hybrid Ertiga isn’t available yet in the Philippines you can check out its naturally aspirated brother on our website where we can hook you up with the latest, promos, deals, and discounts for it and the rest of the Suzuki Philippines vehicle lineup.
