Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has introduced its newly designed Strada GLS line to the local market. The brand’s acclaimed midsize pickup truck gets a tougher and more modern look with several new additions.
It starts with the front fascia, which gets a new blacked-out radiator grille and under garnish. The headlights also get a new garnish to complement the LED DRLs. The blacked-out theme continues at the sides, where you’ll find black door mirrors, outer door handles, step board, and matching 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, there’s black on the rear gate handle and step bumper to finish off the exterior changes.
The new Mitsubishi Strada GLS line still comes with a 2.4-liter turbocharged and intercooled diesel MIVEC engine that makes 181 hp at 3,500 RPM and 430 Nm of torque at 2,500 RPM. The engine application gives the Strada an efficient fuel consumption rating of 18.9 km/L.
For safety and convenience, Mitsubishi equipped the new Strada GLS line with modern features, including Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC) for rapid maneuvering in slippery conditions, Hill Start Assist (HSA) for maintaining leverage on steep inclines, Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) to detect and help keep trailers from swaying, and the standard ABS with EBD.
