With the next-generation Ford Everest now in markets like Thailand and Australia, talk of its local launch now appears to be in full swing. Ford Philippines has been noticeably ramping up its marketing efforts for the all-new mid-size SUV, and in doing so, it has confirmed the powertrain options and other features for the 2023 Everest.

The most significant piece of information Ford released is about the engine options. Following what’s currently available in Thailand, the Philippine market will get two choices, including a 2.0-liter single turbodiesel and a 2.0-liter Bi-turbo diesel engine.
While Ford Philippines has yet to disclose power figures, we can guess both engines’ outputs by looking at what the Thai market has. There, the single turbo option produces 168 hp and 405 Nm of torque, with the Bi-turbo option delivering 207 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Ford says transmission options will include a six-speed automatic gearbox or a 10-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission, depending on the variant.

It’s also likely that Ford Philippines has brought over many desirable features from the Everest in international markets. Active safety features for the next-gen Everest could include adaptive cruise control with lane centering, lane-keep assist with road-edge detection, pre-collision assist, and more. Other notable goodies could include an onboard wireless smartphone charger and a 400W inverter.
On top of that, we know the 2023 Everest comes standard with massive portrait-style touchscreens. If we get the same variants as the Thai market, which currently are the Everest Sport and Everest Titanium+, we can expect an eight-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10.1-inch touchscreen on the former, and a 12.4-inch driver’s display with a 12.1-inch touchscreen on the top-spec model. Both models are equipped with Ford SYNC 4A with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As for pricing, Ford Philippines is keeping mum on the matter for now. Based on Thailand pricing, the 2023 Ford Everest Sport starts at 1,464,000 baht or around P2.267 million. Meanwhile, the range-topping Everest Titanium+ 1,854,000 baht or around P2.867 million. The all-new Ford Everest, along with the next-gen Ranger, will be launched this year.
