While the Kicks e-Power wasn’t displayed on the showroom floor, it did have its mini display outside the event with the hood open to give showgoers a quick look at the brand’s e-Power technology.
While Nissan Philippines has yet to confirm if the Kicks will come to the local market this year. However, from the looks of it, the Japanese automaker seems to be wanting to bring the b-segment crossover into the country soon. Due to the limited nature of the display we weren’t able to get too close and personal with the Kicks. However, we can say that it comes with the brand’s signature V-Motion grille design and comes with sleek LED headlights. Aside from this, the Kicks e-Power also rides on a set of 17-inch wheels.

The Nissan Kicks e-Power if sold in the Philippines at a competitive price point could be the answer for those looking for the performance of an electric vehicle without having to deal with range anxiety. This is because the crossover’s e-Power system is powered by electric motors instead of an internal combustion engine. While the Kicks e-Power does come with a small internal combustion engine, which is only used as a range extender and an extra source of power for the electrically-driven powertrain system.
Aside from the Kicks e-Power, the Japanese automaker also had the Nissan LEAF on display at the auto show. There Nissan showed off the LEAF’s V2X capabilities as the internal batteries of the vehicle could be used as a “mobile power bank” to power almost any electrical device with the proper adaptors. With the common theme of electrification being present at MIAS 2022 for Nissan Philippines, it’s clear to see that the automaker is pushing for cleaner vehicles in the local market.
