Effective April 1, 2022, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) welcomes its new President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yugo Kiyofuji, who succeeds Mr. Yosuke Nishi, who started Geely off back in 2019.
During Nishi’s tenure as president and CEO, Geely was able to net a total of 6,104 unit sales in 2021, the brand’s best year. Versus its 2020 sales, the brand was able to improve its figures by 183 percent with only three models in the lineup. March 2022 marked Geel’ys 10,000th accumulated sales milestone. In just two years, and eight months, Geely achieved so much even winning an AutoDeal award for its Coolray, making it one of the fasted growing marques in the country.
Kiyofuji succeeds Nishi and has around 20 years of automotive industry experience after being with other OEM and automotive-related companies in various overseas markets such as the Middle East, Latin America, and Australia.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kazuki Sugino will assume the Chief Administrative Officer role in order to strengthen the quality of operation through SGAP. Mr. Sugino had an executive role in Sojitz Headquarters and various companies including other automotive distributors in the Philippines for five years.

A turnover ceremony was held on April 4, 2022, and with the change in leadership, SGAP is confident that it will be able to take on the challenge of constant growth and continue its rapid sales increase as well as improving quality service to its customers.
