H1310007 Anak na asa sa ina, nagpanggap na mayaman part2

Running parallel to the North Luzon Expressway’s Meycauayan-Marilao section, the new East Service Road will allow for motorists traveling from Valenzuela City to Marilao easier access and a shorter route compared to the original one that required them to traverse MacArthur highway.

In recent years, the area has become congested with trucks, busses, cars, and motorcycles all fitting onto the major thoroughfare in order to get up north. Motorists that do not opt to take the expressway, or cannot take the expressway route (such is the case with sub-400cc motorcycles), may take the service road instead of MacArthur highway, which has become overly congested over time and is a longer route.

The project was constructed but the Department of Works and Highways (DPWH) and its goal was to improve the Bulacan road network and help boost economic growth and activity in the area. The new road will provide an alternative route for motorists in order to take some traffic volume out of MacArthur highway and other areas in the Mecycauayan-Marilao corridor.

Motorists can expect the flow of traffic to improve at the Meycauayan Interchange during rush hours. Motorists who find themselves traveling between Iva, Libtong, Malhacan, and Bpandayan in Meycauayan and Lias, Ibayo, Saog, and Lambakin in Marilao, need not pass through St. Francis, St. Michael, and Meralco subdivisions.

The service road features two lanes and it connects Meycauayan and Marilao, Bulacan together. Still, motorists may still head into \NLEX for a more express route should they want to pay the toll. However, for motorists that do not want to spend the extra cash getting to the other areas up north, the service road provides a viable alternative for drivers who frequent the motorway for a toll-free trip. Otherwise, the service road is a big sigh of relief for small motorcyclists who consistently have to take other routes to get up north.
