Mitsubishi Philippines officially announces the start of reservations for the new Xpander. These changes start with the new LED headlights that have been redesigned into a new T-shaped layout, which has rearranged the lighting for the signal lights and daytime running lights. The changes with the exterior continue with the new grille, a new horizontally themed front bumper, a new rear bumper with revised reflectors, new LED taillights, and a new set of 17-inch wheels across the model range.

Mitsubishi Philippines officially announces the start of reservations for the new Xpander. The 7-seater model, which made its initial debut back in 2018, has now been expanded and enhanced for the 2023 model year. This was done to continue its strong presence in its segment which has a 54.40 percent share of the market according to the Japanese automaker.
What Mitsubishi Philippines has done to the new Xpander is to give it a new and more modern front fascia. These changes start with the new LED headlights that have been redesigned into a new T-shaped layout, which has rearranged the lighting for the signal lights and daytime running lights. The changes with the exterior continue with the new grille, a new horizontally themed front bumper, a new rear bumper with revised reflectors, new LED taillights, and a new set of 17-inch wheels across the model range.
In terms of dimensions the new Xpander has grown, it is now 50mm longer than it was before and is now taller by about 120mm. Aside from this the ride height of the MPV has also been raised as it now matches the Xpander Cross at 225mm. This change in ride height can be attributed to the new set of wheels and changes done to the suspension of the vehicle. Mitsubishi says that it has given the new Xpander high-performance values at the front and rear of the suspension giving it a flatter and more comfortable ride.
Aside from the updated and refreshed exterior, the interior of the MPV has also been touched. It now features Mitsubishi’s “Design Identity of Horizontal Axis” in the dashboard, giving it a straightforward and more horizontal layout than the previous model. Aside from this, the Japanese automaker has also given the new and updated expander more soft-touch padding accents, an armrest for the first row, horizontal cup holders, a new set of climate controls, and an electronic parking brake. Mitsubishi has also added a 7-inch infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the new Mitsubishi Xpander still retains its 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. While other countries now get the CVT, the local version of the vehicle still carries over the four-speed automatic transmission. This was done as the 4-speed was deemed worthy enough to be retained thanks to the stellar fuel economy that it was able to produce with the vehicle.
The new Mitsubishi Xpander will be available in 5 color options which include the newest option, Blade Silver Metallic. The new MPV will come with a standard retail price of P1,030,000 for its GLX MT model, P1,090,000 for its GLX AT model, and P1,160,000 for its GLS AT variant.
