The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is coming back for another run after postponements due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Only a few shows were held in the Philippines last year due to the multiple lockdowns and concerns of the virus spreading.
Trade shows are often the busiest times for the multiple manufacturers like Chery, Changan, Geely, Nissan, and other titans who want to showcase their brands, the multiple attendees that want to see all of the sights, and journalists eager to get the latest scoops. However, the show was canceled two times in a row but is now back once more for 2022.
MIAS announced that the event will be held once again after two years, and is set to make a return on April 7, 2022, and last up until April 10, 2022, and the show will be open on these dates from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Expect the main floor to house some of the newest vehicles and some of the most interesting cars in the country. Just like prior years, the show will also have aftermarket showcases, custom, classic, and customized cars. So rest assured, and just like prior MIAS events, there is a little something for every car enthusiast.

The event is back in full force once again as the country progresses back to normal. The Philippine World Trade Center will be the venue for the 2022 International Auto Show. The organizers have not mentioned anything yet regarding health and safety protocols for the show. No mention was made as well for foot traffic limitations and social distancing guidelines, but it is fair to say that all event goers must wear face masks in order to gain entry.
It’ll be best to keep an eye out for these announcements as the show is less than two months away. MIAS’ organizers will likely release guidelines, and more information as the event dates get closer. Regardless of the wait, it’s nice to see that MIAS is back on track once again after a two-year hiatus. We can’t wait to finally see all the new showcases this year and in person.
