Just after hitting its 2021 sales milestone, Kia Philippines is now moving further forward with the introduction of its all-new Kia Carnival. Its chassis is shared with the new Kia Sorento as well, which makes it one of the most comfortable mainstream vehicles out in the market today. It’s being positioned as a Grand Utility Vehicle (GUV) a novel segment in the Kia stable that speaks about the adaptability and the utility that the Carnival offers, along with the grand levels of comfort for passengers.

Families and VIPs will appreciate the premium and versatile ride. The new Carnival features a well-adorned exterior with SUV-inspired styling which can be deemed as similar to the Sorento, but with a notable emphasis on style and elegance. The Carnival comes with a full set of LED head and tail lights. The Tiger-Nose grille also makes a return, but in a large and grandiose package that extends all the way to the rear.

Just after hitting its 2021 sales milestone, Kia Philippines is now moving further forward with the introduction of its all-new Kia Carnival. Its chassis is shared with the new Kia Sorento as well, which makes it one of the most comfortable mainstream vehicles out in the market today.

“As the guiding principle in designing the Kia Carnival as a top-of-the-line vehicle for executives and family leisure, the all-new Carnival offers ample headroom, spacious and welcoming seats. All constructed with elegant materials to indulge you. Most importantly, it accommodates every individual occupant comfortably.”

Simon Kang
Coordinating Director of Product Planning, Kia Asia-Pacific

As for the specifications, the Kia Carnival comes with up to 19-inch alloy wheels for the top-of-the-line model and 18-inch alloys for the SX trim level. The interior also features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display that gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Below that is a three-zone automatic climate control system that is standard across the entire lineup. Occupants in the second row are treated to business-class seating with the captains’ chairs that are only available in the top-spec SX trim level. The EX will get standard seats in comparison.

Powering the Carnival across the lineup is a 2.2-liter VGT CRDi engine that is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that provides very adequate amounts of power and a good serving of torque. The engine is the same as the Sorento’s mill, and it’s a proven platform that returns good performance and fuel economy for all-day comfort and riding.

Tech and safety features include smart entry and remote start that seamlessly welcomes passengers, and prepares the interior for them on a hot day. Driver and front passenger seats are powered for the SX trim, while only the driver gets a powered seat for the base EX trim level. Kia also outfitted the Carnival with the DRIVE WISE system, that includes forward collision avoidance assist, lane-keep, and following assist, as well as a full suite of airbags and other key features like ABS.

“The all-new Carnival delivers first-class treatment worthy of a VIP. Each key feature of the latest model supports his daily drive towards his avenues of inspiration. Moments of style that express his exclusive taste. Moments of innovation that empower[s] his drive to seek more. Moments of comfort and convenience that fulfill his luxurious standard of living. And, moments of safety to represent his reliable nature.”

Manny Aligada
President, Kia Philippines

There are three colors available for the Kia Carnival, and those colors are Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, and Astra Blue. The base EX trim level starts at P2,540,000, while the top-of-the-line SX variant goes for P2,998,000.
