H1710007 Delivery Rider Inak!t Ng Customer part2

The all-new Kia Carnival is coming very soon to our market. Kia Philippines has shared that the fourth-generation MPV has a local launch date set on February 17. While the South Korean brand has yet to disclose specific details on its new vehicle, let’s explore what we might see from the 2022 Kia Carnival.

Kia debuted the fourth-gen Carnival in June 2020. It uses Hyundai-Kia’s new midsize platform, resulting in a slight change in dimensions for the Carnival. It’s now 40 mm longer with a wheelbase extended by 30 mm.

As for its looks, Kia carried over a few design elements from the previous generation, with some significant improvements. The new Carnival sports a redesigned front fascia with a sleeker-looking grille, giving off a decidedly more premium impression. The rear windows also get a design update, now with much cleaner lines that blend better with the rest of the vehicle.

Overall, the new Carnival looks sharper and more mature. We think Kia did a commendable job with the look of this all-new MPV, and we expect many buyers to feel the same way.

As we’ve mentioned, Kia Philippines has not yet revealed details for the local-spec Carnival. Overseas markets get a host of engine options, however, all Smartstream power plants.

Gasoline engines:

  • Smartstream G2.0 T-GDi I4 (China exclusive)
  • Smartstream G3.5 MPi V6 (268 hp, 332 Nm of torque)
  • Smartstream G3.5 GDi V6 (290 hp, 355 Nm of torque)

Diesel engine:

If we had to venture a guess, we’d say Kia could likely bring in the diesel model as the sole option. There’s been no confirmation by any means, so we’ll have to wait for Kia Philippines to make the announcement when the all-new Carnival makes its local debut on February 17.
