AC Motors 2021

AC Motors shared its success in 2021 with the media on January 31, 2022, and proceeded to announce a bunch of its achievements in the Philippine market, as well as future plans in the country with a green and sustainable focus for years to come.

Upward growth was logged in 2021, and the contributing factors included the launch of new models. For the company’s Maxus brand, the D60 was introduced to the market, giving consumers one of the best value-for-money vehicles in the industry.

Volkswagen was able to field two new nameplates for its lineup, the T-Cross, and the Multivan. These two models garnered much attention upon release, with the T-Cross being one of the brand’s best-selling models for 2021.

Following that, Kia launched its new Sorento. Updated and new, the midsize crossover makes use of premium materials and styling to draw you in, while captivating you with its plush ride comfort.

Isuzu made good on its time in 2021 by launching the D-MAX and the mu-X shortly thereafter. The ladder frame twins breathed new life into the segment and challenged the mainstream players once again by offering high-tech features along with styling that the industry now has to keep up with in some respects.

Finally, Honda’s Civic and City nameplates all got updates in 2021, setting the tone for the Japanese brand’s return to force for 2022.

AC motors also set its sights on digitizing customers’ sales and aftersales journeys, which netted a positive result. The company traced and estimated that up to 40 percent of its total sales can be attributed to the company’s many digital channels. AC motors Also expanded its dealership network in 2021, and is not 95 establishments strong in 2022, which helped the company’s sales grow by 30 percent.

For the future, the company is projecting that it would become a key player in sustainable mobility, as the Ayala group has committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In order to do so, the company plans to actively explore bringing electric vehicles to the Philippines.

“The EV law and its corresponding roadmap is about to be finalized. Government must consider lowering import duties aside from excise tax privileges. Let us protect strategic sectors such as the PUV but allow easier importation of private vehicles. We need to make EV ownership more accessible.”
