Nissan Philippines recently celebrated its milestones in 2021 and announced its plans for sustainability with its valued partners during its annual media thanksgiving night. There the Japanese automaker announced its plans for sustainability and also announced that it was able to secure 3rd place in terms of market share in the local automotive industry.
The year 2021 was a tough time for the entire industry, but despite the challenges we faced, we’re grateful that Filipinos continue to trust Nissan with their mobility needs. Finishing 2021 Strong
For 2021, Nissan showcased what it could do by launching a total of five new models in the Philippines. These include the Nissan Navara, Nissan Terra, Nissan Almera, Nissan LEAF, and the Nissan Patrol. With these new vehicles, the Japanese automaker now has the youngest fleet of vehicles available in the local automotive market today.

Finishing 2021 Strong
For 2021, Nissan showcased what it could do by launching a total of five new models in the Philippines. Nissan Philippines also renewed its Safe Trips campaign with the Department of Tourism furthering its ties with the government agency. It also was able to help promote certain tourism destinations in the country to help with the local economy in the area. Among these destinations were Ilocos Norte, Baguio, and Boracay.
The Blue Switch Initiative and the future
Looking forward to a more sustainable future, Nissan Philippines has started with its Blue Switch initiative for the Philippines. The aim is to help with the electrification plans of the automaker’s Nissan Ambition 2030 plan. Nissan’s long-term vision for empowering mobility by strengthening its aim of being a sustainable company that drives for a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world. Blue Switch is focused on building key partnerships that address social concerns with the use of electric vehicle technologies. With this in mind, we could soon see Nissan launching much cleaner hybrid vehicles in the near future that can do more than get you from point A to point B.
