The 2022 Suzuki Celerio debuted in India late last year, coming with a brand new design and a more fuel-efficient engine. Suzuki equipped the latest Celerio with a more striking front end, complete with sweeping headlights and a new signature grille. New 15-inch alloy wheels add a touch of sportiness to the vehicle.

Under the hood, the new Celerio packs a K10C 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. The power plant delivers 66 hp with 89 Nm of torque and pairs with either a five-speed manual or Auto Gear Shift (AGS) transmission. The engine features Suzuki’s Dualjet technology, making this the most efficient Celerio ever. It achieves a mileage figure of 26.68 km/L.

2022 Suzuki Celerio interior

Inside, the 2022 Celerio gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other notable features include a push start and stop button with a smart key and steering wheel controls.

As for the facelifted Swift, its local launch is also on the horizon. While it won’t be an all-new model, the changes here are just as substantial. The new Swift gets a rounder silhouette and a new grille design highlighted by a touch of chrome. The headlights have been updated, and the top trim levels get the LED treatment.

Fans will be happy with the Swift’s interior, as Suzuki has kept its good features while adding even more. The flat-bottom steering wheel returns and keyless entry, push-to-start, and automatic climate control become standard features. Meanwhile, there’s a multi-information LCD instrument cluster, plus an 8-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The all-new Suzuki Celerio could reportedly launch in the Philippines this March. The facelifted Swift with a new hybrid option could come earlier, perhaps as soon as February. Pricing information is not yet available, but we don’t expect them to deviate much from the outgoing models.
