The next-generation Ford Everest has entered the final testing stage. It will reportedly debut globally in the first quarter of 2022. The news comes after Ford unveiled the all-new Ranger pickup in late November.
The new mid-size SUV’s design will closely follow the Ranger’s, as has been the case since its second generation. Both vehicles are based on the T6 body-on-frame platform.

Ford cloaked the 2022 Everest in a familiar camouflage pattern for its final testing stage. It’s similar to what the brand used with the prototype Ranger. The unique camo hails from the mind of Lee Irmie, exterior designer at Ford Australia.
Irmie aimed to evoke adventure with the design, using rectangles tilted at a 45-degree angle to imply mountain peaks. The rectangle pieces were designed in isolation, ensuring a random camo pattern throughout the vehicle. Irmie used black, white, and Meteor Gray colors to develop the camouflage.

The next-generation Ford Everest has entered the final testing stage. It will reportedly debut globally in the first quarter of 2022. The news comes after Ford unveiled the all-new Ranger pickup in late November.

Ford says to be on the lookout for the next-gen Everest, as it may be coming to a street near you. If you do spot one of its test models, you’ll find a QR code that leads to an official webpage.
As for specs, the 2022 Ford Everest is expected to carry over many of the Ranger’s features. Powertrain options will likely be similar, including the well-known turbo diesel engines and a new 3-liter V6 diesel power plant. There could also be a new 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline model.
Other features will likely include a new 10.1-inch or 12-inch vertical touchscreen display with the latest SYNC 4 system, a 360-degree camera, an electronic gear shifter, and more.
The next-gen Ford Everest will enter production in 2022. Ford will build the mid-size SUV at its plants in Thailand and South Africa. We’ll get our first full look at the all-new Everest within the first three months of next year, so stay tuned. A Philippine release is definite, but Ford has not shared a release date for the vehicle.
