The MPV segment in the Philippines is beginning to heat up once again with the introduction of a new challenger to the field. This new model comes in the form of the 2022 Haima 7X. This is the brand’s news vehicle to hit the local market that comes with a great appoint of features, seating for seven, and a powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged motor under the hood.
Exterior

On the outside, the Haima 7X comes with sleek styling which is further accentuated by its massive grille that is flanked on either side by angular LED daytime running lights and projector halogen headlights. Aside from this the vehicle also comes with a panoramic sunroof to help give you all the natural lighting you need inside the MPV.
At the rear, it comes with typical MPV styling with a large tailgate that opens up with ease and a nice set of LED taillights. It also comes with a black accent panel and a rear spoiler for that touch of sportiness.
Interior and technology

Moving to the inside of the vehicle you are greeted by a large dashboard that comes with a large 12.3-inch infotainment system. This head unit, while not having Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capabilities does come with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Aside from this the MPV also comes with a 7-inch LCD instrument cluster for a little bit more of a premium touch.
As this is an MPV, the Haima 7X comes with seating for seven. It has a 2+2+3 seating configuration allowing for more space in the middle. The second row is the place to be in the 7X as it comes with captain’s chairs and soft leather. The bolstering is good and supportive so that you don’t feel tired on longer drives.
Safety
The Haima 7X brings to the table a good amount of safety features. It comes standard with dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, a reverse camera/ reversing image, a tire pressure monitoring system, traction control, hill start assist, hill decent control, auto-hold electric cruise control, electric parking brake, ABS+EBD, and a brake override system.
Power

Under the hood, the Haima 7X packs a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. It produces 162 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. although, one thing to note is that the engine bay of the MPV is covered in plastic so you won’t be able to see much of what the actual engine looks like.
Pricing
The Haima 7X enters the Philippine market with one variant available. It comes with an SRP of P1,199,000. However, the automaker is offering the MPV with a special introductory price that slashes P100,000 off its initial price meaning that until April 26, 2022, you can get the MPV for only P1,099,000. Aside from this, the vehicle is also available in four colors, Clear Sky Blue, Sandy Beach White, Wave Light Silver, and Reef Rock Grey.
