Thailand currently has two Everest variants available: the 2.0L Turbo Sport 4×2 6AT and 2.0L Bi-Turbo Titanium+ 4×4 10AT. The Everest Sport packs an engine many might recognize from the previous-generation model. For the 2023 model year, the single-turbo diesel power plant delivers 168 hp at 3,500 RPM and 405 Nm of torque at 2,250 RPM. A 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift sends power to the rear wheels.

The much-awaited 2023 Ford Everest is now available in Thailand. Ford’s unveiling of the next-generation midsize SUV earlier this month turned heads as it showcased a reimagined design, reworked interior, and new powertrain options. Now that the new Everest is on sale in neighboring Thailand, could Ford Philippines be close to launching the model in our country?

Thailand currently has two Everest variants available: the 2.0L Turbo Sport 4×2 6AT and 2.0L Bi-Turbo Titanium+ 4×4 10AT. The Everest Sport packs an engine many might recognize from the previous-generation model. For the 2023 model year, the single-turbo diesel power plant delivers 168 hp at 3,500 RPM and 405 Nm of torque at 2,250 RPM. A 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift sends power to the rear wheels.
The Everest Sport features a blacked-out grille with Everest lettering shown prominently on the hood. It also gets 20-inch black alloy wheels, an upgrade over the base model. The lighting system is an all-LED affair, with the highlight being the C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) first seen on the all-new Ranger.
Stepping inside, we see the Everest Sport features a primarily black cabin equipped with leather and faux leather seats. This variant packs an eight-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other notable features include an eight-speaker sound system, wireless charging, and an electronic parking brake. The 2023 Ford Everest Sport is available in Thailand for 1,464,000 baht or around P2.267 million when converted to Philippine pesos.
Meanwhile, the Everest Bi-Turbo Titanium+ features a two-turbocharger configuration in a 2.0-liter diesel package. It makes 207 hp at 3,750 RPM and 500 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 2,000 RPM. Ford’s 10R80 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.
The top-spec Everest Titanium+ gets features like matrix LED headlights and a panoramic moonroof. It also gets better screens with a 12.4-inch digital instrument display and a 12-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen infotainment system.
Apart from that, the midsize SUV packs advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, forward collision warning with brake support, AEB with pedestrian detection, rear brake assist with cross-traffic alert, and evasive steer assist.
Completing the features list for the Everest Titanium+ are a 360-degree camera system, active park assist, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The 2023 Ford Everest Bi-Turbo Titanium+ sells in Thailand for 1,854,000 baht or around P2.867 million.
There’s still no word from Ford Philippines regarding local availability for the 2023 Everest. It shouldn’t be long now, as many predict its launch as being set for later this year.
