Ford Philippines appears to be weathering the pandemic better than most other automakers. The company has stayed resilient at a time when the industry has struggled. The company posted an impressive 57% retail growth rate in the first nine months of 2021.

In raw numbers, Ford Philippines has sold 14,704 vehicles this year. The Ranger and Territory played a significant part in the company’s strong sales figures. The Ranger contributed 6,695 units on its way to a 38% market share in the 4×4 pickup truck segment. Meanwhile, the Territory is continuing its ascent, having sold 4,993 units with an astounding 58% market share in the compact crossover segment.

Looking at the quarterly figures, Ford sold 4,849 vehicles during the third quarter of the year, good for a 21% sales growth over the same period in 2020. The Ranger and Territory accounted for 2,180 and 1,669 units in that period, respectively.

In September, Ford achieved more impressive milestones. The automaker posted its best month of the year with 1,783 vehicles sold, a 15% increase from the same month last year. The Territory also sold 742 units in September, the crossover’s best month since launching in 2020.
