H2010003 Ate Na Masungit Tinuroan Ng Leksyon Ang Bunsong Kapatid Nag Sisi part2

Nissan introduced the fourth-generation Almera in 2019. The all-new subcompact sedan first made waves in Thailand, followed by Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets. After nearly two years, our time has come. Nissan fans have been clamoring for this. While we may be a little late to the party, we’re still welcoming the 2022 Almera with a bang.

Exterior

The all-new Nissan Almera looks better in almost every way. Starting with the front, it gets Nissan’s signature V-motion grille design. The new grille connects seamlessly with the LED headlamps to give the sedan a boost of personality. LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and fog lamps are also present on the higher models, with the entry-level model getting halogen headlamps. LED tail lamps come standard across all variants.

Look over to the side, and you’ll see how much the Almera has changed. Its stance is sportier and more aerodynamic, plus the floating roofline looks handsome. Pair it with the 16-inch alloy wheels on the N-Sport variant, and you get a vehicle that’s more than equipped to take on the competition.

As for the rear, Nissan has replaced the quirky, angular taillights with a pair of sharp-looking LEDs. There’s also a special rear bumper for the N-Sport model, which perfectly complements the front bumper.

2022 Nissan Almera

Nissan introduced the fourth-generation Almera in 2019. The all-new subcompact sedan first made waves in Thailand, followed by Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets. After nearly two years, our time has come. Nissan fans have been clamoring for this. While we may be a little late to the party, we’re still welcoming the 2022 Almera with a bang.

2022 Nissan Almera

Overall, the 2022 Nissan Almera looks undeniably more modern than its predecessor. The sedan’s sportier design could make it an attractive option for younger drivers who want something that’s just a little bit out of the ordinary.

Interior and Technology

2022 Nissan Almera Interior

Let’s get the most important part out of the way. The Almera’s tired gray cabin is gone, replaced by a sleeker black interior. Nissan has done well with mixing and matching textures to give the inside a more compelling look.

The dashboard feels a bit premium with its soft-touch material, and the new flat-bottom steering wheel, which is leather-wrapped for the N-Sport model, adds some sportiness. The N-Sport variant also gets leather upholstery and 60/40 split rear seats. For the rest of the models, there’s black fabric and standard bench seating.

2022 Nissan Almera Apple CarPlay

Nissan has equipped the all-new Almera with modern necessities. All but the base model get a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster with an integrated drive-assist display. There’s also an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, AUX, and USB connectivity. The entry-level model settles for analog gauges and a basic audio system.

For the first time in the model’s history, the Almera gets Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility Suite. The higher variants enjoy most new features, including the Intelligent Around View Monitor that gives the driver a 360-degree view of the vehicle. The ride is made safer with Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Hill Start Assist is standard across all variants.

Making things even safer are six airbags for the N-Sport model. The other variants get two airbags as standard. Other standard safety and security features include an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) with brake assist. Also present for all variants are an LED high mount stop lamp, ISOFIX anchors, and an alarm and engine immobilizer.

Power

2022 Nissan Almera

Nissan has done away with the 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter power plants from the previous generation. The Almera now features a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, HRAO turbo engine that makes 99 hp. Torque figures vary between variants. The manual transmission models are capable of 160 Nm of torque, while the CVT models make 152 Nm.

Despite the smaller engine, it’s impressive that Nissan has managed to crank out about the same power level as the outgoing model’s 1.5-liter mill. Due to this, we expect the all-new Almera to deliver better fuel economy readings.

Pricing

2022 Nissan Almera

The 2022 Nissan Almera starts at P728,000 for the base model 1.0 EL Turbo MT. The top-of-the-line 1.0 Turbo N-Sport CVT is available for P1,098,000. Check out our car guide for the full pricing information.

As for colors, Nissan has made six of them available. The EL Turbo MT model comes in Gun Metallic and Brilliant Silver. One step up, the VE Turbo MT variant adds Cayenne Red and Pearl White.

The VE Turbo CVT variant gets all six colors, including exclusives Premium Corona Orange, Galaxy Black, and Brilliant Silver.

The Turbo N-Sport CVT model is available in Cayenne Red, Galaxy Black, Gun Metallic, and Pearl White.
